There is a fucking good reason why I haven't updated.
Have you guys out there ever hear of the Navidson Record? It was a film created in the 1990's that was created by a man who was researching the effects of a house he had moved in with his family, at least, that's what I think it was about based on what people have told me and on what I could briefly research while on the run (I managed to pick up an old copy of House of Leaves, but it's really hard for me to understand sometimes).
It's supposed to be a work of fiction.
I know it exists though.
I guess I should start at the beginning.
Luka and I decided that it would be safer to stay where we are, considering that He hadn't shown up yet, and that we should make most of our time in one location without Him showing up before moving on. I was happy with the decision, and we then set out to find another house to sleep in. Luck was on our side that day, because we found a very nice house that wasn't owned by anyone, which meant a few days of shelter until He decided to show up again.
There was a good goddamn reason why that house was always for sale and never owned for long.
The moment I stepped inside, I felt I didn't belong there. It was like the silence was screaming at me to get out. Luka looked completely fine, but I bet he was thinking the same thing I was.
We shouldn't be in here.
Things didn't start to get weird until Luka left to go find a bathroom. I waited ten, fifteen, maybe even twenty minutes, and he didn't come back. By the time ten minutes past, I was getting a little nervous - it's because of the Slender Man that I'm terrified of the dark, and I have to remind you that the electricity in this house was cut. By the time fifteen minutes past, I wanted to get up and walk around a little, let my eyes adjust to the darkness, just so I could shake off the feeling of someone watching me. And by the time fifteen minutes past, it felt like He was standing right over me and telling me to go explore the house and find Luka.
So I did.
I walked down the hallway that Luka had walked down, and I searched the first door on my left. A bedroom, with papers scattered everywhere, and a window that had the view of the deserted field that surrounded the house. But it looked different outside, much different than it had when we had arrived. It looked cold, blank, and empty - like a field where people had once been slaughtered and now had the lingering feeling of spirits floating around. And it was very very still. I had perfectly remembered that it had been windy and raining slightly when we arrived. Now it just looked like a poster of the environment had been put in front of the window and that was what I was looking at - that's how still it looked.
Isn't it always like that before He shows up?
Of course, right on cue, I heard a loud bang from down the hallway. Figuring it was Luka, I left the room, taking note of the Operator symbol drawn on a whiteboard in the corner of the room. Whoever lived here first was seriously ripping off Marble Hornets and poor Cairo Zelphest. I started to walk down the hallway where I was sure I heard the bang, and all of a sudden, it became like the "Five and a Half Minute Hallway" from the Navidson Record, because I never seemed to go any further. It was like I was walking in place, not taking a step further, but not going backwards either - but I was definitely moving.
Eventually, I decided to turn around. When I did, I saw a door straight ahead of me. I immediately thought it was the door that would lead back to the bedroom, even though I remembered the bedroom being on my left. Anywhere was safer than this freakish hallway. So I walked up the door, actually reaching it, thank the heavens, and I grabbed the doorknob and entered it.
Another door. I was in this weird small closet space, and there was another door ahead of me. I felt confused at first, but opened the next door anyways. I was in the bedroom again, but instead of the window at the end of the room, there was - you guessed it - ANOTHER DOOR. This time, I checked for things that seemed out of place before going through the next one. The papers weren't blank anymore - now they had all kinds of shit written on them. Operator symbols, codes, some pages that looked like pages ripped out of a handwritten novel or journal, and just overall scary shit. And the Operator symbol that had been drawn on the whiteboard was on the other side of the room now, a Slendy doll sitting next to it.
I was smart enough to know by now that He was playing with His food.
I didn't like the heavy atmosphere in that room, so I left through the door where the window had once been.
I fell. Down some imaginary hole that I'm sure was waiting for me the moment I opened that door. I don't even think there was any floor past that door - just a big gaping hole like the kind from Alice in Wonderland or LoZ: Majora's Mask (you can relate, right, UZUKI?)
Thank god the fall wasn't that long, but I was surprised that I didn't die when I hit solid concrete. I felt a bit dizzy, and it was dark, so I couldn't see a bloody thing. But at least my ears still worked, and I could hear something; the sound of somebody else breathing.
So I had to decide - was it Luka down here, or perhaps Him creating the illusion that there was another human being here so that He could lure me in and get me?
I decided to take the risk, and I called out Luka's name.
Somebody else replied, someone that didn't sound like Luka. It was another boy, much older looking, who looked like he had gone mentally and physically through Hell and back. Bashed up, bleeding, and very twitchy, he came over to me, and asked if I was real.
"Yeah. . . have you seen another boy around here? Uh, he has blond spiky hair, misty eyes, and looks like he just stepped out of a mental institution," I said. "Oh, and he's about yay-high." I held my hand up just a little past my shoulder - I never realized till then that Luka was actually shorter than me.
"Y-You're human?!" he asked me, grabbing my shoulders. You'd think I was an angel that came down from heaven to save him, but when it came down to it, I was in the exact same situation as him.
"Uh, I think so," I snickered, but I guess it wasn't really the time for jokes. "How did you get down here? Have you been here long?"
"I was running. . . He got my brother and sister!" he cried as he fell to the floor. "We were running to the house to hide from Him, but they both got caught. . . I'm the only one that made it out of there. . . but then. . . I don't know, but I somehow ended up here!"
"How long have you been here?" I asked again.
"I-I don't know. . . my digital watch has been screwed up since I got here. . ." He showed me the watch attached to his wrist, the digital numbers on the fritz and completely undecipherable.
I sighed and helped him off the floor. "How about this then? We'll find my friend Luka, and then we'll find a way out of here, together."
So we began to search the area. It was a basement - a very huge, dark basement. There weren't even any of those small windows that are near the ceiling to give us the tiniest bit of light. The boy used the small light off his digital watch as a flashlight, but it didn't help much at all.
Things finally started to look up when I stubbed my toe on something hard - I then realized it was a stair.
"Hey! Found the stairs!" I yelled over to him. He was pretty far away from me though, so I had to use my voice to lure him over to where I was. When we were both at the stairs, we used his light to see as far ahead as we could. Then we stepped onto the first one, and started our ascent up the old stairs that I'm sure would have fallen from beneath us if we weren't trying to be as quiet and light as possible. The stairs ended up being spiral.
Five minutes passed, and I realized that He was shitting with us again. It was like the Navidson Record Exploration #3, "Seven Hours Down the Spiral Staircase", only in this case we were going up (so I guess you could more or less compare it to the endless staircase from Super Mario 64 that never ended unless you had the number of stars you needed to pass. . . I think it was 72, but I dunno, I haven't played that game for years).
I ended up looking back to see how my tag-along was doing, but I saw more than I bargained for. He was standing behind me, and standing behind him was the Slender Man. Basically, it was like we had only climbed about seven or eight stairs and He was standing at the end where we had started, just watching us. It was like He was laughing at our attempts to make it upstairs - I'm sure He would have pulled out a lawn chair and a bag of children to eat like He was watching a comedy or sitcom or something. - insert Slender Man laugh here -.
But I guess He suddenly got bored of playing around with us, because we soon hit another door. I didn't even take any time to open it - I basically ran myself right into it, and it opened.
We landed outside, in a field. When I looked back, we were outside of the house.
And where was Luka?
Sitting under a tree, his head tucked in his arms.
I ran over to him, the boy following me. But when we made it to him, he immediately ripped out what looked like a taser gun and blasting the tag-along boy right in the stomach area. He immediately fell backwards, holding his stomach as the electricity surged through his body. Then he began to spit up blood, but it was a horrible disgusting black color, and his screams didn't sound like normal human screams either.
I ripped the taser from Luka's hand, and threw it away.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I yelled at him. "He's just someone I found in the house!"
"Oh. . . it's you. . ." Luka said when he saw me. "I-I'm sorry. . . He was chasing me for a good amount of time, but He finally stopped and I managed to get myself out of there. . . I guess I thought it was Him coming back for more."
"He chased after us for a while too. I guess He came after us when He decided to stop playing around with you," I sighed. "We're all out now though, right? What happened to you?"
"I don't know, I ended up in this weird room, and when I tried to leave, I just couldn't seem to find the way out. . . it was like the house was shape-shifting," Luka explained.
"We had a bit of a problem with that too," I replied, then I looked at the boy. "Didn't we?"
But he was busy staring at something else. Two more people had appeared, a boy and a girl, standing in the field that was probably fifty meters away from us.
Then he started to go crazy. He started screaming. And then he started demanding that the Slender Man show his face and fight him like a man. Then he fell back to his knees, holding his head in his hands, and cried secretly.
"Hey, are you alright?" I asked him as I approached him. I put my hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
"Those two. . . those were my brother and sister. . . !" he cried. "I have to go get them! He has them!"
When I looked up to see what he was looking at, I saw that the boy and girl were now standing next to Him, like they belonged to His special little 'family'. The boy suddenly got up, looking ready to charge at Him.
"Hey, don't go after Him!" I yelled, grabbing his arm to stop him. "What do you think you'll accomplish!? He's using your siblings as bait - I hate to tell you this, but they could already be dead! He might be using them as bait to lure you out so He can get you too!"
"But what if they're alive?!" he yelled back. "I have to at least see if they're really alive! If they are, I may be able to save them!"
"Don't throw your life away!" I growled, as I pushed him down to the grass. Surprisingly enough, I happened to pin him down - I think it was because he was just so tired, and probably sore from all the cuts and bruises he had.
"Hey! Slendy!" I yelled, looking up at Him. No joke, this is something UZUKI said that she was going to try, and I said I was going to try it too, even though she didn't want me to. There was no going back when it happened. I was pretty sure afterwards though, when I said it, that you're not ever supposed to tell Slendy what to do.
"Yeah, I'm looking at you!" I continued to yell. "So what's your story with this guy, huh?! You got something against him or something? Must be quite a vendetta to take his siblings and even try to lure him out with them too!"
I was expecting Him to come at me and kill me, but instead, He stared at me, like He was examining me. He must have been curious and surprised to see a human being actually speak back in such a collected manner (because I'm pretty sure no one else has tried to speak to Him normally before - most people either scream and faint, or run for their lives, too scared to speak).
"Did you kill them?!" I yelled.
He continued to look at me. I didn't care if He couldn't answer - I continued to ask Him the same question.
"Did you?!" I asked again. "Are they alive, or are they dead?!"
Suddenly, I got this strange thought into my head.
Why should you care? You don't know this boy, I thought. Why are you fighting for him? Why are you risking your life for a boy you met not five minutes earlier?
Wherever I was getting these thoughts, may it be my schizophrenia acting up again, they weren't mine.
You should just give yourself up.
You should just end it all now.
Why are you still hesitating?
Just join Him. Everyone's happier when they do.
Nobody will notice you disappear.
Eventually, I screamed.
I screamed as loud as I could.
I closed my eyes, looked down, away from Him, and screamed my lungs out.
And when I opened my eyes, about a month had passed, and I was in New York. Michael (the boy whom I'd met in the basement in the house) and Luka, according to the both of them, had seen me pass out right in front of them when we had escaped the house and I had my conversation with Him, and apparently, I've been in a coma ever since, at a hospital in New York.
So now, I'm out of the hospital, and on a laptop that Michael 'borrowed' from someone at one of the nearby parks.
I don't even remember a thing about sleeping or being in a coma or whatever. Do people in comas normally have dreams? I don't think I had any, at least, none that I remember.
I know that that book, House of Leaves, and the Navidson Records have nothing to do with Slender Man.
But what I experienced back at that house, I can sure say otherwise. And it's not the first time Slender Man has messed around with houses either. He messed around with Jay when he looked for Alex and Brian all the time at their house, and just couldn't seem to find his way out. And it happened to the HYBRID group too, when the good ole' Rake carved a fucking hole into Alex's closet and decided to make it lead to that underground basement out in the woods where they had gone in "A Day in the Life".
So I hope to keep you guys posted more often. I'm starving as fuck because the hospital food tastes like cow shit and I haven't eaten anything decent for the past month. The hospital managed to keep my health up while I was asleep so that I didn't suffer from malnutrition, but they couldn't fill in the craving for a burger at MacDonald's with some fries and Coke.
Hope to stay in touch. Hopefully I don't go into another coma either. Also, UZUKI, I'll send you the details of the conversation with Slendy. I think He may have talked to me while I was in my coma, but I'm still trying to piece everything together.

Map - First Submission
Here's the map. Please don't judge my drawing skills, it was done with paint! Luka and I may be heading to Louisiana next, but I'm not too sure. Anyone know if it's safe up there?

Found the Thumdrive!!
. . . with a Morse code image file on it. I don't know Morse code, so I went and found the Morse code translator machine that Dr. Cairo put up on his Youtube video "Basic Codes" which I found very helpful. Never know when Luka's gonna decide to write some weird code on the wall in a motel room or something. He actually wrote one the other day, which I have deciphered just recently. It wasn't even a code really. It was just a bunch of scribbles, with random letters placed here and there. It turned out to be an anagram, and it translated to "FRIEND". I'll put up the morse code to see if any of you guys can translate it. I don't have time to input the code into the translator right now - we can't spend all our money on motels, and we need food, so we're leaving to see if we can find any more abandoned homes with high roofs.

Luka
Landed in Florida a few days ago. It was late at night when we landed. The first thing I did was find some place to sleep. I eventually settled on an old abandoned house that was high enough for me to sleep on the roof and escape from harm. I pretty much wandered around aimlessly all afternoon, when, fortunately, I stumbled across a runner. I'm using his computer now. I found him drawing all sorts of things on a brick wall in an alleyway, and, well, friendship started from there. I told him I was a runner, and now we're running together. His name is Luka. He apparently just started running a little while ago too, but he seems to be suffering more mentally than anything else.
So things have gotten better, I guess. It's really just nice to know that I have a new friend who's suffering from the same thing going through this with me.
I gotta apologize for not posting in so long too. Everything's been happening so fast and all at once, what with Luka and finding a place to stay and all. But I think things may start to get better. But I probably shouldn't say that either - a lot of runners said that before and look where they ended up: either still running for the lives and escaping by the skin of their teeth, or. . . dead. So I guess I should watch my words.
I think that's it for a while. I'm going to upload that map once I find my thumbdrive (it mysteriously went missing - hopefully it's just under a bunch of stuff in my bag. I swear to god if that thing's lost, I'm so screwed.).

Map
Okay, so I said in my last post that I was on my way to Florida. Well, I am currently waiting for my plane and I have access to a cellphone. . . which I kinda stole but that's besides the point. There's free Wi-Fi here (and I won't keep the phone - I'll set it down on a random bench and hope the person who owned it finds it). So, because I have 20 minutes to wait, I guess I should tell you a little thing first.
Obviously, you guys are going to want to keep track of me somehow. So I'm going to rip an image of the U.S. map off the Internet once I get access to a computer and then I'm going to use the Paint program (which the computer really should have) and I'm going to track my little journey across the U.S. so you can keep track of me. I need all your help too. I don't know what places are safe, I don't know what places are infested with Proxies, and I don't know what places will keep me away from Slender Man the longest.
And that's where you people come in.
Half of you people out there have been running from Slender Man for a pretty long time. So if you know any places in the U.S. that are safe for me and won't get me killed, then tell me and I'll mark it on the map. As I go along marking my little map, I'll put it up on the site and update it often as a map for you guys that are running around trying to figure out which places are safe and which aren't.
Thanks, and I hope this method of mine works for you guys and girls.
Now I gotta go and catch my flight before it leaves without me.

Florida Ahoy!
Well, I took all my life savings, bought a plane ticket, and am now on my way to Florida. UZUKI warned us of the summer - according to her, our friend the Operator may actually be stronger in the dry season due to the fact that his signature move is by starting fires. James Matthews from The Tutorial also said he was headed out to the sea, so it may actually be safe out there, for a few months at least. Do you guys know of any runners out there I could meet up with? M is definitely out of the question - he's always here and then gone again. I can't keep track of the dude. Don't know where James went, he could very well be dead. Zeke is probably in New York somewhere, at least, that's what I'm guessing. Anyways, I'm going to try sticking around the ocean area for a while and see if UZUKI'S theory is right. It makes sense, I guess. Fellow otakus think alike.
I mean, if you drench a Charmander in water, it can't use it's fire, right?
Sorry for the lame Pokemon expressions, it's just the way I think things through. Like how UZUKI uses her own original characters to think through things. Something tells me that chick is gonna suffer from split-personality disorder real soon.
Even if I can't meet up with anyone in Florida, is there anyone I can meet up while passing through? I didn't have enough money to make it all the way to Florida from where I am now, so I'm going to be walking halfway the rest of the way and passing through some places. I know it's unsafe to travel in groups, but I'd at least like to meet up with SOMEONE who hasn't gotten killed by this thing.
Oh well. I'm going to play some Golden Sun on the plane. Maybe Slender Man will let me have the luxury of at least doing that (I don't think he can stretch that high into the air anyways. If the plane crashes, I am so fucked).

Sob-Stories for the Poor
Well, I guess I should probably start at the beginning, when this all started for me.
And if you don't know what I'm talking about, then good for you. Nobody needs this monster to be chasing after you.
I'm talking about the Operator. The Slender Man.
Now, I'm a seventeen year old who grew up in a small community. I'm a girl with short cropped black hair, grey eyes, and I have a tendency to lose myself in my own mind. I have serious schizophrenia, but I have methods to get rid of my little imaginary friends through calming methods.
This Slender Man is not a result of my schizophrenia - that much I'm certain of. Because I have a way of telling the difference between the real world and MY world.
So I'm also an otaku, which means that I'm a big fan of Japanese anime and manga. Yeah, nerdy, but that's what I choose to be. So you can imagine I surf the web a lot, which is a very true fact.
And then I found everymanHYBRID.
And then Marble Hornets.
And then Tribe Twelve.
And then compileTRUTH.
And then, finally, I found the Something Awful forums, where it all began.
And my life has just been going downhill from there.
At first, I had a lot of fun with it. I played I Spy with all the pictures, and watched all the movies at 1 am at night (even though my friends told me not to).
Now I'M in all the I Spy pictures that my family used to take of me.
Now I'm ALWAYS up at 1 am because I can't get to sleep without Him staring at me through the window.
And now, all of my friends have been taken by Him.
And now I'm running for my life too. I see Him every day. I run from Him every day. Each day is a blessing for me - each minute is a race for survival.
So I'm just going to try and stay alive and not go crazy. Because I've seen too many people go crazy - M, Zeke, Cairo, Damien, James, Zero, Alex, Jay, Vinny and the HYBRID crew, Noah, Kaiju-whatever, UZUKI, and a bunch of other people like that (UZUKI isn't even a runner but she's still at that point of insanity. . .).
For now, I'm just going to do what I can. Stay alive, stay sane, and keep flipping my little hourglass over again and hope I have another minute to live.
